As I sit here at work this morning with nothing on my plate (shhhh) I came by this awesome article on Kotaku. The rundown of it is this, Lexi, a young girl who plays hockey on her Xbox was tired of nothing being able to play as a female character, which is 100% understandable. So she wrote a letter to EA and now, BANG, you can create your own female characters in NHL 2011. Pretty nice of EA, don't yah think? Even nicer? The default character model is based off Lexi. What a lucky duck.

Saturday, October 15th I'm going to be pulling off a 24 hour session of marathon gaming.

Why? For a good cause, of course.

I'm partaking in Extra-Life, an annual event that raises money to help kids in Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. A friend of mine turned me onto it when they themselves put a shout out on Facebook for donations for their session. I thought to myself, I could donate but I'd rather play and raise money myself, so voila, here we are.

My goal is $300 and it'll be donated to the IWK Health Centre, right here in Halifax, NS. Obviously, I'd like to raise as much money as I can.

The Summer of Tees is over and that means this blog is back to being a soapbox of randomness for me. Usually I post about video games and junk that has to do with video games, so get ready to read...about video games!

Right now, I've got a problem but it's a problem I'm looking forward to solving. What's my problem? I've got too many games to play. That's right, I said too many. How so? Well, I just borrowed Dues Ex from my friend John, I'm replaying Gears of War 1&2 before the new one comes out in two weeks and I've got Spider Man: Shattered Dimensions and the new Castlevania game from GameAccess. Oh me, oh my, whatever shall I do? Well, I'm just going to buckle down, play copious amounts of games until my eyes bleed and then play some more. So if you're laying awake at night and wondering what I'm up to, it's playing video games. Oh, I've got my Brother's wedding and some work stuff also, but that's all secondary.

Of all the Bat-symbols to ever, I love the one from the 1989 flick the most. It's probably because I was bat-crazy when it came out. I had pins, trading cards and my room was adorned with photos of the Batmobile and an actual life size poster of Michael Keaton on my door.

As per the request of my friend Chantal. This T-shirt has been in heavy rotation since my days at SMU, about 10 years now! This is actually the second one I've owned, too. The first got shrunk in the wash by my girlfriend of the time. Luckily, she was nice enough to purchase me another.

An oldie but a goodie. My parents picked me up this killer Tigers Tee when they passed through Detroit about 6 years ago. Word is they're building a Robocop statue in downtown Detriot. When it's done, I'm taking a road trip to see it and catch a baseball game. Who's in?

One of the first T-shirts I ever ordered from Threadless. I don't order from them much anymore as they've gotten crazy popular and I hate seeing other people wearing shirts I own. I do like my artistic cephalopod a lot though.

A Plants & Animals T-shirt. Purchased at the now defunct, Paragon Theatre back at the start of 2010. If you don't know, phoque is French for seal...something I learned in grade 7. Hilarious times indeed.
